Massive turnout for ladies race

Nearly 11 000 runners turn beachfront into a sea of pink
ABOUT 11 000 athletes, fitness fanatics, social runners and a few men who relished the chance to put on a dress for the occasion, took part in the Spar Ladies Race at Pollok Beach in Port Elizabeth at the weekend.
Actor and television presenter Nico Panagio, who was the master of ceremonies for the event, set more than a few hearts racing on a cold and windy morning as the action got under way in the 5km fun run and 10km feature race.
