Court packed ahead of Panayiotou appearance

The courtroom where Christopher Panayiotou, the man who allegedly orchestrated his wife Jayde’s abduction and murder, is expected to make his first appearance today (04/05/15) was packed with reporters and photographers by 9am.

Panayiotou, 28, is the second suspect arrested in connection with the death of the Riebeek College teacher. He was arrested last week.

Bay Ratepayers’ Association chairman Kobus Gerber arrived at court with a noose and a sign reading ""Mr. Zuma, we've had enough", calling for the death penalty. He was asked to leave the courtroom.
