Watch: Xenophobia slated at NMMU march

THE xenophobic violence that has gripped parts of the country is threatening the huge strides made in restoring the African continent and is a slap in the face of a democratic South Africa, Eastern Cape premier Phumulo Masualle says.

Masualle was addressing about 3 000 people who marched against xenophobia at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth – where 8% of students are foreigners – yesterday.
