Love triangle ends in murder

A 28-year-old man has died in what appears to be a love triangle which resulted in murder.

The police have arrested a 40-year-old suspect who allegedly walked in on man with the suspect's wife near a shack at Bangani Location Xobo Village Dutywa on Monday(13/04).

The suspect severely assaulted the 28-year-old man with a stick on the upper body. He then tied him up and reported the issue to his family members - namely elderly men.

The suspect demanded six cattle from the family of the man whom he found with his wife.

Family members of the deceased managed to bring three cattle.  However the suspect refused to release the 28-year-old man pending the payment of other three cattle.

Dutywa Police rushed to the scene of crime and on their arrival they found the 28-year-old man had already died.

The suspect is due to appear before the Dutywa Magistrate Court on Thursday 16 April 2015 on a charge of murder.

It is not clear at this point in time as to what happened to the wife of the suspect.
