13 held in hijacking probe

POLICE are tracking the national car theft and hijacking ring targeting Volkswagen employees after eight hijacked cars were recovered across the country and 13 arrests made in less than a month.
All arrests and recovery were by specialist investigators from the Bay's Anti-Vehicle Hijacking Task Team in less than a month.
The arrests come after a breakthrough last month when two alleged key role-players were arrested at their Gauteng hideouts in East Rand
New trends have been revealed as police recovered cars as far as Cape Town, Johannesburg, East London and Mthatha.
