Short-lived move back to SA ends in tragedy
The Van Breda family had just returned to South Africa from Australia, but their idyllic new life on a luxury Stellenbosch golf estate came to a bloody end yesterday with a multiple murder than has left the community stunned.
Martin van Breda, his wife Teresa and their 22-year-old son Rudi were murdered in their upmarket home on De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate.
Their 16-year-old daughter, Marli, is in a critical condition, while their other son, Henri, 20, does not appear to have been seriously injured.
