Truck hijacked by bogus cops

FIVE suspects sped off with a delivery truck filled with liquor and groceries after two posed as police officials and stopped the vehicle in a mock roadblock on the outskirts of Uitenhage on Monday night.

“While driving on the R75 just before the R334 turnoff they were stopped by two of the men, both wearing police uniforms, but who are not members of the SAPS.
“They were driving a blue Renault with a blue light placed on the backboard and a grey Polo,” Swart said.
“After the suspects pulled the truck over and asked the occupants to climb out of the vehicle, three other men appeared – two armed – and the group proceeded to steal the truck.”
