Pepper spray robbers hit Bay petrol stations

TWO petrol stations were robbed in Nelson Mandela Bay by a suspect using pepper spray at the weekend.
In the first incident, the suspect entered the Engen garage in Bluewater Bay after 2am on Friday and sprayed the cashier with pepper spray.
Police spokesman Constable Mncedi Mbombo said the man took money and fled on foot.
At the Total garage in Botha Street, Despatch, a man walked into the shop at 4am on Saturday. The suspect sprayed the cashier with pepper spray before taking cash and fleeing. A link between the cases is being probed. – Cindy Preller
