Mystery killing ruled murder
By TMG Editor - 28 October 2014
THE family of a man whose body was found buried in a brick flower-bed in Bluewater Bay, Port Elizabeth, is a step closer to finding closure after a magistrate ruled his death a murder.
The body of Wynand Hibbers was found clothed in denim shorts and a khaki jacket and covered with a blanket in January 2012 when Robert White and his wife, Leni, asked their gardener to dismantle a brick flower- box in their backyard to make way for a new carport.
Hibbers lived at the property in 2008.
At the time, the police opened an inquest docket.
Following a two-day inquiry, a magistrate last week officially ruled the death a murder. - Thulani Gqirana
