Fake Mango account promises free flights

Low cost airline carrier Mango has advised customers that they are not giving away free flights after discovering a fake Instagram account is making this promise to 12500 users.

"This is not an official Mango online presence and the airline has initiated its removal," spokesman for the airline, Hein Kaiser said.  He said the airline feared that this was a way to obtain sensitive personal information from members of the public.

Mango’s official online presence comprises its website, mobisite, apps for Android, Apple and Blackberry 10 devices, Facebook () and Twitter (@flymangosa) and nothing else," he said.
