Bay hospitals 'will sparkle' says Just1HR

AN ambitious new project to revitalise public health care in the city was launched by the Just1HR campaign yesterday.

The initiative, named Project Sparkle, is seeking volunteers to assist with a number of projects to "transform the three state hospitals in Port Elizabeth to be places of hope through upliftment of the facilities and engaging with the hospital staff".

Just1HR organiser Trevor Jennings said the project was being spearheaded by Alan Barr, who heads KPMG in the city, and Wezmeth, the Westering Methodist Community.

The Just1HR campaign was launched in August last year by religious and business leaders in Nelson Mandela Bay.

The campaign aims to get individuals involved in their communities by dedicating an hour every month to helping where they can. - Estelle Ellis
