A PAIR of Nelson Mandela Bay siblings are headed for court after becoming embroiled in a bitter family feud over a luxury car which the one refuses to hand back to the other.
Ludwe Gcingca, 35 – who fell behind in his repayments and gave his sister the 2006 BMW 320d model so she could take over the instalments – is now demanding it back because he claims she has not fulfilled her part of the repayment bargain.
Gcingca’s sister, Bulelwa Gcingca Mxuthu, 45, refuses to hand it back, claiming she had invested too much in the car while looking after it.
After trying to lay a complaint against her with the police, Gcingca said he was now pursuing civil action.
“I gave her the car in July last year as I was behind with my instalments and the bank had threatened to auction it,” he said.
“I asked her to pay the R20000 that was required and the car was released. We made arrangements that she will keep the car and continue paying the monthly instalment up until I am sorted financially.” Relations between the siblings were good until Gcingca told his sister in March this year that he would need the car this month. – Yoliswa Sobuwa
