Campaign for Knysna to be a Hope Spot

THE Knysna area is campaigning to clinch one of the five remaining Hope Spots in the world.
The Eden District and Knysna municipalities, working together with SANParks, Cape Nature, the Knysna Basin Project, Biowise and the Lakes Bird Club, are pooling their resources to ensure Mission Blue, the initiators of the campaign, declare the area a Hope Spot.
Hope Spots are places that are critical to the health of the ocean.
In Nelson Mandela Bay, Algoa Bay will be launched as one of South Africa's five Hope Spots because of its array of wildlife. - Thulani Gqirana
