ZIKHONA Sodlala always dreamed of being able to do woodwork and now, thanks to Nedbank, she is able to follow that dream.

The 23-year-old is one of 12 woodwork students at the Ray Mhlaba Skills Training Centre in Glendinningvale, Port Elizabeth, who are benefiting through a R200000 donation by the bank.

It is part of the bank's five-year association with the centre, which works with youth from disadvantaged areas.

They have previously donated R500000 towards early childhood development and R300000 to hospitality training at the centre.

Sodlala, the only female in the woodwork class, said she was finally able to properly pursue her dream. - Yoliswa Sobuwa
