THE Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality yesterday confirmed the relocation of PSL team Chippa United, who are to take up residency at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Deputy mayor Chippa Ngcolomba said while some matters were still under negotiation, the Chilli Boys would be moving to Port Elizabeth.

Ngcolomba was joined by stadium manager Access Management's managing director Rian Oberholzer, among others, during a news conference at the City Hall yesterday.

"We expect to finalise all outstanding details shortly, and we will be holding a press conference with Chippa United, the PSL and the Eastern Cape provincial government to make a final relocation announcement shortly."

One of the outstanding issues is the exact amount the municipality is paying for the soccer club to relocate. - Riaan Marais and Amir Chetty
