Major firm acts against former sales team rep

IN an attempt to protect its clientele, hospitality giant Bidvest Foodservice has approached the Port Elizabeth High Court to stop a former employee from working at its biggest competitors in the region.

The company filed an application after it discovered that Adele Goosen, 36, of Lorraine, had started working at Robberg Fast Foods SA despite undertaking a restraint of trade agreement when she was employed at Bidvest Foodservice.

The court this week ordered that Goosen give an undertaking that she will not be directly or indirectly engaged, employed or associated with any business similar to Bidvest Foodservice for 12 months from her date of termination, pending the finalisation of the application. - Lee-Anne Butler
