7de Laan actor in Knysna attack

POPULAR South African actor Terence Bridgett was on set in Knysna yesterday, just days after being attacked and robbed at the guest house where he has been staying.
Bridgett, who plays chef Jerome in 7de Laan and wife-beating bad boy Chico Booysens in Isidingo, stars in a new romantic comedy set in Knysna, due for release by December. He arrived in Knysna at the weekend.
The film also features Invictus actress Marguerite Wheatley and The Bang Bang Club's Neels van Jaarsveld in the leads, along with another veteran South African actress, Shaleen Surtie-Richards.
The attack – just days before the annual Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival – has also stirred emotions among residents who are divided over whether this was a publicity stunt or an indication of how crime is increasing. - Yoliswa Sobuwa
