Two held in gang probe swoop

TWO of Port Elizabeth's most wanted criminals, believed to be part of an organised crime gang involved in a recent spate of shootings in New Brighton and hijackings around the city, were arrested at the weekend.
Xolani "Toto" Mzileni, 30, and Thoriso Yengi, 30, were arrested by the Tactical Response Team and a special Provincial Task Team in Summerstrand on Friday night.
Details around the arrests were still sketchy last night, but in another development a suspected gangster was shot dead.
Although police were tightlipped, The Herald was able to establish that Mzileni and Yengi were in custody at the Mount Road police station. - Yoliswa Sobuwa and Gareth Wilson
