Lorraine man charged with rape of colleague

A LORRAINE man appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court yesterday for the alleged rape of a colleague.

The 26-year-old accused, who cannot be named until he pleads to the provisional charge of rape, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the 27-year-old woman on more than one occasion between last year and April this year.

The young father is represented by attorney Theuns Roelofse.

The matter was postponed to July 24. He is on R500 bail. – Kathryn Kimberley
