WHY would one walk 1000km in 30 days? "I absolutely love children. I would have 20 of my own if I could afford to."

While Streso has called the Jacaranda City home for the past 14 years, he was born and bred in Port Elizabeth and the Andrew Rabie matriculant of 1988 will be well remembered as a member of the young Coleske Brothers band which was a popular part of the music scene in the 1980s.

The University of Port Elizabeth – now NMMU – graduate left the city in 2000 for Pretoria, where he has run his own legal financial services company for the past 10 years and is involved in promoting Afrikaans music abroad. - Fiona McRae
