HIV claims in labour dispute

A PORT Elizabeth man who took time off work after learning he was HIV-positive claims his employer discriminated against him because he was fired shortly after disclosing his status.
Jacques Kruger, 34, of Bluewater Bay, claims he was forced to disclose his status to his superiors at the Bluewater Bay Engen, then dismissed after a disciplinary hearing.
But the garage's owner, Heine Bruyns, said Kruger was dismissed for dereliction of duty. - Hendrick Mphande
