Rwexwana to fill DA councillor spot
By TMG Editor - 12 June 2014
FORMER Nelson Mandela Bay COPE deputy chairman Sandile Rwexwana was yesterday announced as the DA's new councillor.
Rwexwana, 35, filled the vacancy left by the party's former caucus spokesman, Andrew Whitfield, who was appointed to the National Assembly last month.
Rwexwana will work closely with DA MP Nqaba Bhanga in the Ngqurha constituency as the party hopes to make inroads in ANC strongholds leading up to the 2016 local government elections.
The Ngqurha constituency comprises Motherwell, New Brighton, Kwazakhele, KwaMagxaki, KwaNoxolo, Zwide and Bluewater Bay. - Mkhululi Ndamase
