Arson threat over RDP houses debacle

ANGRY township residents protested outside the City Hall yesterday demanding the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality intervene in their housing problems.
Residents of Marikana, near Chatty, say there are irregularities with the RDP waiting list.
Community member Bongiwe Ncelwane said they no longer knew what to do.
"The houses were built and completed last year. Now the problem we are faced with is that some of the houses have more than three owners, each carrying a blue card for this one house," Ncelwane said. - Yoliswa Sobuwa
