Bid to oust the devil from Cape Town peak

A GROUP of religious Capetonians want to change Devil Peak's name – because, they claim, it "honours the devil".
Cape Peninsula Transformation Africa has applied to the Western Cape provincial geographical names committee to suggest a more appropriate name such as Duiwekop or Dove's Peak.
"On the slopes of this beautiful mountain stands our parliament, a major hospital, a university and numerous schools. The name of the mountain not only honours the devil, it is also a monument of corruption. The name should be changed," the submission to the committee read. – Nashira Davids
