Letter on Zuma to be discussed

A CONTROVERSIAL letter expressing a Nelson Mandela Bay church minister's disappointment at President Jacob Zuma's retention of his "Nkandlagate ministers" will be discussed at a meeting this weekend.

The letter by the spokesman and head of research for the Interdenominational African Ministers' Association of Southern Africa (Idamasa), the Reverend Doctor Xolani Tengo, was published in The Herald this week.

Idamasa seeks to promote morality in society, fight injustice, corruption and nepotism, and to unify all Christian churches in Nelson Mandela Bay.

In the letter, Tengo said he would "continue to criticise anyone associated with the project" to upgrade Zuma's home in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal. - Hendrick Mphande
