Court evicts ex-NYDA head from mansion

THE Port Elizabeth High Court has ordered former National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) head Andile Lungisa and his family to vacate controversial businessman Theunis Crous's Summerstrand mansion.

If they fail to do so by the end of this month, the sheriff – and possibly police – may be called in to put them out.

Lungisa, who was recently appointed as the chairman of the Pan-African Youth Union, said yesterday he was not aware of the judgment and would follow it up with his lawyers today.

He did not oppose court action to evict him from the house following his failed attempts to buy it. - Estelle Ellis
