SOLOMON Mahlangu High School in KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage, should have new furniture by the end of today if the Education Department sticks to its word.
About 50 disgruntled parents and pupils from Solomon Mahlangu sang and danced their way to the Education Department’s Uitenhage district office on Friday to protest over the failure by authorities to deliver the furniture to their newly renovated school.
On Thursday they shut down the dangerous, dilapidated prefab building the school had been using for two years. – Tremaine van Aardt
