Ntola set to appeal against his expulsion

FORMER SA Democratic Teachers' Union (Sadtu) president Thobile Ntola will appeal against his expulsion at the union's national congress in October.

Ntola yesterday insisted he was innocent and said his expulsion was politically motivated.

He further called for an investigation into all the members of the union's national executive committee (NEC).

Ntola was fired on Monday after being found guilty on 10 charges related to corruption, misconduct, abuse of power, undermining the union and bringing it into disrepute. - Zandile Mbabela, Poppy Louw and Shenaaz Jamal
