A FORMER inmate of St Albans Prison recalled in the Port Elizabeth High Court how he was allegedly tortured by prison authorities in apparent retaliation after the death of a colleague who was stabbed in 2005.
Mzukisi Jack said on numerous occasions he was stripped naked, assaulted and ordered to remain in a single cell, with officials providing no reason.
He also testified how a warder used a derogatory word and swore at him as he went to fetch a broom.
