TWO additional names were being considered to replace Eastern Cape premier Noxolo Kiviet at Luthuli House in Johannesburg last night.
A provincial executive committee (PEC) decision last week to only endorse Phumulo Masualle’s name for the premiership position had to be revised due to ANC rules which state all provinces must submit three names.
The province’s deployment committee then added the names of former Sakhisiwe mayor Weziwe Tikana and outgoing transport portfolio committee chairwoman Busisiwe Ndlangisa- Makawula to the list. – Zine George
