Teacher denies confrontation over murdered girl's other men

A PRETORIA teacher accused of murdering his lover, a Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) student, in 2011 yesterday denied allegations that he had confronted her friend about the other men the student had allegedly been seeing.

During a second day of intense cross-examination by the state, Mutshutshu Muvhango, 31, a married father of two, said he was visiting his girlfriend Tshepiso Sithole, 18, in Port Elizabeth during the middle of June in 2011.

But Muvhango disputed the evidence provided by Tsitsi Tendengu, one of the students who was living with Tshepiso at the student residence in Gomery Place in Summerstrand at the time. - Lee-Anne Butler
