Nightingale nods for top Bay angels

NELSON Mandela Bay’s top nurses were honoured as the world celebrated International Nurses Day yesterday.

Eight nurses received the Bio-Oil Florence Nightingale Award for outstanding service.

Megan Mackey, 21, originally of Adelaide, received the award at Life St George’s Hospital.

Mackey, who has only been a nurse for a year, is specialising in neonatal intensive care. – Estelle Ellis
