A HUSBAND and wife appeared in court yesterday for allegedly stealing close to R300000 from a Port Elizabeth-based adult education and training provider.
Varity and Jeremy Langeveld, both in their 30s, appeared briefly in the Port Elizabeth Commercial Crimes Court yesterday.
The Port Elizabeth couple were released on bail.
It is alleged that Varity, who worked at Nalithuba Training Solutions as a general manager, gradually siphoned funds from her employer’s bank account into her personal account or that of her husband’s, between April 2009 and April last year. – Kathryn Kimberley
