EIGHT newly qualified Eastern Cape advocates are among 40 nationally to receive a share of a R1.9-million sponsorship package from LexisNexis South Africa in partnership with the General Council of the Bar.
The sponsorship aims to reduce the financial burden on previously disadvantaged junior advocates as they establish new legal practices across the country in their first year of practice.
Three of the eight recipients from the province were honoured at a hand-over event at the Eastern Cape Society of Advocates on Tuesday. – Lee-Anne Butler
