Murder accused’s plea shock

THERE were gasps in the Port Elizabeth High Court yesterday as the man accused of murdering a Rhodes University student, who was on her way to her graduation ceremony, pleaded not guilty to all seven charges levelled against him.

Mxolisi Kitsana, 28, of Motherwell, is charged with kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances and the murder of Lelona Thembakazi Fufu, 24, on April 12 2012.

He is also charged with kidnapping, rape, robbery with aggravating circumstances and attempted murder in relation to an incident on April 21 2012. The victim in this case cannot be identified. – Lee-Anne Butler

    oh please did you really expect him to plead guilty to the charges? the south african justice system will proberbly give a light sentence anyway. Dallas
