At 71, Dalene looks for new challenges

SOCIAL worker Dalene Ritter refuses simply to sit at home and do nothing during her retirement, vowing to continue being the voice of vulnerable children and keeping abreast of what is happening in society.

Ritter, 71, has had an illustrious career that has spanned nearly 50 years and boasts a CV that includes being mayor of the small Eastern Cape town of Steytlerville and spending the last decade as regional director of Child Welfare South Africa, based in Port Elizabeth. – Hendrick Mphande
