IT was up, up and away for a little girl at the Boardwalk yesterday, when several helium- filled weather balloons lifted her off the ground in an attempt to raise awareness about human trafficking.

In the animated movie Up, a heartbroken widower ties thousands of balloons to his home before embarking on a life-changing journey into the sky.

And in Port Elizabeth yesterday, the sentiments of the movie came alive when members of the Salvation Army tied about 20 balloons to a chair, allowing Jessica Mahwehwe to float momentarily into the air. – Kathryn Kimberley
