IT was a delighted Dr Lungile Pepeta who accepted hi-tech monitoring equipment from the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth West on Friday and then showed everybody the iPad application he had designed to go with the new machines.

The club donated the four hi- tech monitors, worth R60000, desperately needed by Dora Nginza Hospital’s paediatrics department.

Rotary’s Steven Lancaster said a substantial sum of money was raised by the organisation’s wine auction in Port Elizabeth last year and it was decided to split the donation between Rotary International’s End Polio Campaign and equipment for Dora Nginza. – Estelle Ellis
