A GROUP of fed-up Bluewater Bay residents have taken to social media in a rigorous campaign to make enough noise to stop truckers from illegally using the Engen Bluewater Bay service station.

The group started the “Engendoesnotcare” page on Facebook, encouraging Bluewater Bay residents to share information to give their plight maximum exposure.

The residents, who did not want to be named for fear of intimidation, said they had been battling for more than three years with trucks – heavier than the allowed five ton capacity – illegally coming into their suburb to use the Bluewater Bay Engen. – Thulani Gqirana
