HEALTH Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has suspended a National Health Department official responsible for importing a controversial immune- boosting spray to be used on tuberculosis (TB) patients in Nelson Mandela Bay.
In addition, Motsoaledi has called for disciplinary action against “all the Port Elizabeth officials” involved in the Immutides spray debacle. The product was distributed by Immutrition Pty Ltd, co- owned by Bay businessmen Mike Xego, Guy Saulez and furniture store owner Gary Karlson. – Estelle Ellis
