Zuma, cabinet ministers to visit Bay

MUNICIPAL bosses will be in the hot seat today when President Jacob Zuma and 10 ministers visit Nelson Mandela Bay to check on service delivery progress and concerns raised by organised business about the city's collapsing infrastructure.

The visit by the high-powered delegation comes after Bay Business Chamber president Mandla Madwara and chief executive Kevin Hustler pleaded with Zuma to get metro leaders to prioritise water, electricity and sewerage infrastructure.

Zuma met with Madwara and Hustler at the president's official residence in Pretoria two weeks ago.

The Presidency said Zuma would assess progress in governance and service delivery. - Rochelle de Kock
