Lift for Bay nightlife as Hooters comes to town

PRETTY girls, ice-cold beer and chicken wings will soon be on the menu in Port Elizabeth.

This is what Hooters restaurants are best known for and soon the city will get a taste of the “authentic American neighbourhood restaurant” when it opens in Walmer at the end of August.

It will be the sixth Hooters to open in the country and is the first real estate purchase for the group.

Hooters South Africa chief operating officer Gordon Jestin said the group was excited to be in Port Elizabeth and to bring the energy of the owl-branded restaurant, which originated in the 1980s in the US, to the city.
