Metro to cut red tape for business

HEEDING a call from business to cut unnecessary red tape and make it easier to invest in Nelson Mandela Bay, the municipality is taking its first decisive step towards strengthening its relationship with industry by forging ahead with plans to launch a business and investment facilitation centre next month.

The centre – dubbed a "one-stop shop" facility for businesses and potential investors – will provide advice on business incentives and assist and fast- track rezoning applications and any service-related queries from business.

This will cut through the bureaucracy which often frustrates business and in the past has lost the city millions of rands in potential investments. - Rochelle de Kock
