Mystery over killings in Bay
By Dorette De Swart - 10 April 2014
TWO men were killed just streets apart – and within minutes of each other – in New Brighton late on Tuesday. One of the men, Sabelo Kondile, was the Buffalo City Municipality housing manager overseeing a R34-million housing project. The other, Mbulelo January, was a suspect in a George armed robbery. He was out on bail.
Both men were shot multiple times. January, 30, was with friends at a Msimka Street tavern when he received a call to go outside. Seconds later, three men wearing balaclavas shot him.
His mother Sindiswa January, 47, was at home waiting for Generations to start.
