Men of God to meet gangs

NELSON Mandela Bay spiritual leaders and pastors desperate to bring peace to Helenvale have committed themselves to getting the suburb’s gangsters to lay down their weapons and make peace with one another.

The meeting, at the Gelvandale athletics track, was arranged by DA ward councillor Nico du Plessis after the leaders of the Dustlifes approached a pastor, Douglas Joseph, saying they were ready to lower their weapons and make peace with their rivals, the Upstand Dogs.
