Walmer Boulevard becomes bump-free

MOTORISTS travelling on one of Nelson Mandela Bay's main arterial roads, Walmer Boulevard in Port Elizabeth's South End, can expect a smoother and potentially safer drive after the last of two sets of controversial rubber speed humps were removed yesterday.

The contentious speed hump sets, which were installed in October will be replaced with tar speed tables, one of which was under construction yesterday, at new locations on the same stretch of the dual carriage way.
