Tsitsikamma ranger earns major Africa certification

A RANGER specialising in marine protection has been granted a prestigious certificate by an oceans watchdog.
Marco Barnardo, a ranger in the Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park, is the proud recipient of a Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association professional level 1 certificate in marine field operations.
The certificate was an affirmation that Barnardo possessed the experience and skills essential for the effective management of a marine protected area, SA National Parks regional communications manager Nandi Mgwadlamba said yesterday. - Xolisa Phillip
