‘Professional student’ behind protests


UNATHI Msuthu has been a Port Elizabeth College student for six years. The 32-year-old, along with his “comrade” Duma Rozani, 27, are the main forces behind rolling strike action that has led to anarchy at the college.

The situation first drove away principal Joy Grobler last year and there are now calls for the removal of administrator Leon Beech.

Dubbed a “professional student”, Msuthu says he is in no rush to leave the college and join the working masses as there is still a lot he needs to do to “change the status quo”.
