Hopes of reviving Apple Express

THE much-loved Apple Express may be getting a lifeline.
The Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) has completed a feasibility study to explore the viability of reviving the narrow-gauge railway line which ran pleasure trips between Port Elizabeth and Loerie, as well as occasional longer trips to the Langkloof and Patensie.
The study was funded by the provincial Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism. - Cindy Preller
