Bay receives R91m to fix RDP houses
By TMG Editor - 26 March 2014
THE Eastern Cape government has given the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality R91-million to rectify nine RDP housing projects, human settlements portfolio committee chairman Buyisile Mkavu said yesterday.
Mkavu said the money had already been deposited into the city's account and administrative details were being finalised.
The funding is expected to relieve pressure on the municipality, as angry residents complain about slow housing rectification. - Mkhululi Ndamase
